Frank P. Femino, M.D.
Dr. Femino has been a partner in the Femino-Ducey Orthopaedic Group since 1997. He specializes in general orthopedics with an emphasis on adult reconstructive surgery and joint replacement.
An attending in orthopedics at Clara Maass Medical Center, Dr. Femino has performed more than 1,000 joint replacement surgeries, primarily of the hip and knee. He has had much success in performing surgeries which are considered “high risk” as well as those compromised by previous failed surgeries.
Dr. Femino is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he received a mechanical engineering degree with highest honors as well as numerous awards for academic excellence. He received his MD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he went on to complete his internship and residency in general surgery and orthopedic surgery. He was awarded a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery and joint replacement, which he completed at the Thomas Jefferson University/Pennsylvania Hospital/Rothman Institute.
Dr. Femino strives to rid patients of pain and make them as functional as possible. His successes include rarely attempted surgeries such as the total femur replacement for the degenerated femur bone, among others.
Dr. Femino is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the New Jersey Medical Society.
Stephen A. Ducey, M.D.
Dr. Ducey has been a partner in the Femino-Ducey Orthopaedic Group since 1999. He specializes in general orthopedics with an emphasis on sports medicine.
The team physician for both Caldwell College and Kearny High School, Dr. Ducey has also worked with sports teams including the Rochester Red Wings AAA baseball team, the Rochester Americans Hockey League and the Rochester Nighthawks Lacrosse team.
Dr. Ducey received his MD from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and his fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Rochester.
Dr. Ducey is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the New Jersey Medical Society.
